PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:
1. Arizona State University, USA. (January 2015 – June 2015)
Research Aide
• Conducted testing, modeling and simulation using MATLAB, Arbin System and PARSTAT Impedance tools to understand the SoC and SoH of batteries (Li-Ion, SLA, NMH) under various charge rates, discharge rates, temperatures along with experimental results.
• Obtained HFR values for the battery systems and developed “LOOK-UP CHART” for larger batteries typically employed at SRP sites.
• Verified and Validated the Bat-Z Impedance Tester for large batteries typically employed at SRP sites.

2. TransPower, San Diego, USA. (December 2014 – January 2015 & June 2014 – August 2014)
Winter Intern & Summer Intern
• Created MATLAB scripts to allow users to perform in-depth standard and automated analysis of Alternative Fuel Vehicle Fleet Data with an emphasis on performance and energy usage.
• Scripts were capable of reading multiple .CSV files from any folder depending on the user, decimate error frames and gaps, distinguish between charging and moving events and continuously store the output results in word and Excel file with their respective date stamps.

ACADEMIC PROJECTS:
1. Evaluation of SLA and Li-Ion Batteries under various operating conditions. (Spring 2015)
• Modeling and Simulation of Sealed Lead Acid Batteries (100Ah) and Lithium Ion batteries (50Ah) were carried out to understand the SoC and SoH under various charge, discharge rates and temperatures.
• PARSTAT Tester was used to obtain HFR values for the battery systems and developed a “LOOK-UP CHART” to predict the life of the batteries.
• Thermal Imaging and various test scheduling’s were done to pin point the root cause of battery degradation.

2. Wind Farm Development – Financial Engineering and Optimization. (Fall 2014)
• Financial aspects like State/Federal policies and Grant programs were examined for Arizona, California and Texas.
• Technical aspects like Turbine and blade selection, selection of land, risks, and optimization calculations were carried out successfully to obtain minimum cost of electricity (3.7 cents/KWh) with maximum revenue generation.

3. Flow Analysis of 2-D Lid Driven Cavity. (Spring 2014)
• Designing, Scripting and Analysis of Lid Driven Cavity was carried out in ANSYS FLUENT & MATLAB for Re=100 and 1000.
• The obtained vorticity, velocity and streamline contours were compared with a 1982 research paper “High-Re Solutions of Incompressible Flow Using the Navier-Stokes Equations and a Multigrid Method” and analyzed.

4. Preliminary Design of a 3MW Biomass Power Plant. (Spring 2014)
• Conceptual design, trade studies, combustion calculation and thermodynamic calculations were done to successfully achieve minimum cost of electricity (0.22 $/KWh) adhering to the ABET criteria.

5. Flow Analysis Comparison Between Conical and Bell Shape Nozzle. (Fall 2013)
• Designed 3D nozzles in ANSYS FLUENT and analyzed them on the basis of flame temperature, shockwaves, maximum thrust and flow parameters.

6. Design and Fabrication of Land Surfer. (Fall 2012 – Spring 2013)
• Designed and f...
