Led a 7-person team tasked with developing a thermodynamic and aerodynamic analysis of each stage in the engine design. Managed the development of a CATIA v5 model of the entire engine design. Collaborated with teammates to analyze project needs, devise solutions to fulfill those needs, and successfully implement solutions.
CATIA/NASTRAN Class Project
Virginia-Class Submarine Hull
Led a 3-person team responsible for developing a complex hull model.
Researched and tested structural loads under various conditions using NASTRAN Software. Received compliments and an ‘A’ grade from professor.
MATLAB/Simulink Class Project
Boeing 747 Stability Augmentation
Member of a 3-person team tasked with creating SAS and Autopilot control systems capable of navigating a series of waypoints using MATLAB/Simulink software. Analyzed known information about the aircraft, determined natural flight characteristics, and developed Simulink software that made the aircraft easier for a pilot to fly and Autopilot software that allowed the plane to fly itself. Received an ‘A’ grade from the professor.
